Eligibility Details
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ considers grant requests for medical educational conferences, symposiums and workshops organized and operated through Independent Non- Profit Organizations such as Non-Profit Medical Societies, Accredited Continuing Medical Education Providers, or Academic Medical Centers. All such events must be open to qualified health care professionals from multiple health care facilities.
The Committee
currently supports:
- Financial support (excluding support for any meals, travel, lodging or honoraria) for independent educational events.
- Short term product loans for the above-mentioned types of events occurring in Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico.
- Chile: Short-term product loans for programs coordinated by Medical Societies, limited to select therapeutics areas. Available for programming after October 20, 2025. Click here for more details.
- Financial support for clinical fellowships coordinated by medical societies. Current priority areas include advanced endoscopy, interventional urology and interventional pulmonology.
The Committee does not
currently support:
- Non-clinical research fellowships
- Clinical fellowships coordinated by universities, medical schools and/or teaching hospitals
- Requests directly benefitting individual health care professionals, or requests designed to solely benefit health care professionals from a single institution, including institution-specific fellowships
- Funds for travel, lodging, honoraria or meal expenses for any healthcare professional
- Requests to underwrite course expenses for individual health care professionals

ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ’ Commitment
Our grants process is designed to ensure compliance with anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws such as the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which is enforced in all of the Latin American countries where ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ does business.
Understanding anti-corruption laws is quite simple: The laws of your country and the United States (where the ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Grants Committee is based) prohibit companies like ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ from making corrupt payments (or providing other items of value, such as products) to any Government Official to obtain or retain business.
In most Latin American nations, academic medical centers and core facilities qualify as government entities and health care professionals and all personnel working for those institutions are Government Officials because of their employment relationships or affiliations with public hospitals, public academic medical centers and core facilities. For this reason, all applicants (health care professionals, and any individual or personnel acting on behalf of a Requesting Organization) must understand the following:
All organizations seeking grant support must apply exclusively through our online portal. Applications submitted by any other means will not be considered.
The Committee does not make decisions based on the desire to generate goodwill from grant requestors or to reward past or future purchases, referrals or recommendations of ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ products or services.
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Grant Coordinators, not ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Sales and Marketing personnel or ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ’ in-country distributors, are grant requestors’ exclusive source of information and communication for matters regarding anything related to Grants. The ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Grants Team should be contacted by email at grants-americas@olympus.com or by telephone at 484-896-3939. Communications with unauthorized personnel about any grants matters may jeopardize submissions.
All ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ sales and marketing personnel and in-country distributors receive specific training advising them to remain separate and apart from matters relating to grants requests. ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ personnel or in-country distributors may not:
- Initiate or promote grant requests on behalf of a health care professional.
- Assist health care professionals, or any related individuals or entities in applying for a grant.
- Create any expectations or convey information of any kind regarding grant approvals or denials.
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ strives for compliant and ethical behavior. If at any time any ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Representatives engage in conduct that you know or believe to be a violation of any anti-corruption laws, you are encouraged to report the conduct to ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ’ Integrity Hotline. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the new ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Medical Grants Portal, designed to provide a more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience for grant applicants. Please note that while the portal interface has been upgraded, our grant requirements, including required documentation and information remain unchanged.

- Create a New Account
- All users must complete the registration process.

- After submitting your registration, you’ll receive an email from ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Corporation of the Americas confirming receipt of your request.

- Within two business days, you’ll receive an approval email with instructions to complete your account setup.

Important Update: Upcoming Blackout Period
The new Medical Grants Portal is estimated to launch during the week of November 17, 2025. The new system will offer a more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience for applicants. Our grant requirements, including required documentation and information, will remain the same.
Blackout Period: November 10–17, 2025
To ensure a smooth transition, the current Medical Grants Portal will be temporarily unavailable beginning November 10 at 12:00 a.m. ET until the launch of the new system on approximately November 17, 2025. During this time, grant submissions will not be accepted.
How to Submit Grant Requests During the Transition Period
As we transition to our new portal, grant requestors must still submit complete grant applications at least 60 days in advance of the proposed program start date; however, the portal in which you submit your request may change based on your proposed program start date:
- For programs taking place before February 1, 2026: Please submit your grant request in the current portal as soon as you have complete information but no later than November 9, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- For programs taking place on or after February 1, 2026: Please wait to submit your request in the new portal for an enhanced user experience.

Program Pause in Latin America
Due to high program volume, ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ will not accept new requests for Grant support in Latin America between August 1st, 2023- November 20th , 2023.
This includes both financial and product requests.
We anticipate resuming review of requests after November 20th, 2023. We encourage interested parties to monitor this section of our website for any updates.

Microscopy Education Update
Evident Corporation in April 2023 that it has been acquired by private equity firm Bain Capital Private Equity from ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Corporation pursuant to the definitive agreement signed on August 29, 2022.
As a result of this, the ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Grants Committee is no longer considering requests for microscopy education programs. This includes financial and product-loan requests.

Microscopy Education Update
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Corporation recently the completion of the separation of its Scientific Solutions business to a wholly-owned subsidiary, Evident Corporation. As a newly-established wholly-owned subsidiary, Evident continues to operate independently under the ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ umbrella.
Evident microscopy is not currently accepting grant requests, but is working to establish a program.

COVID- 19 Update – Eligibility Requirement Update
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Corporation of the Americas (OCA) has restored the requirement that educational programs must be open and advertised to qualified health care professionals from multiple institutions.
Given that North American vaccination rates are increasing and limitations on the size of gatherings are being removed, the Grants program is returning to its standard eligibility requirements.

COVID- 19 Update - Product Support Update
ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Corporation of the Americas (OCA) continues to work through the implications of the COVID-19 crisis on our support for grant activities.
Starting October 1, 2020, the OCA Grants Committee will resume receiving new requests for product support that meet the following criteria:
- Live cases or procedure demonstrations executed with limited (≤4) individuals present (including any ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ personnel) AND content is streamed or recorded for defined educational use, OR
- Product support for educational programs that do not require ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ personnel support during sessions.
Given the limitations on size of gatherings, we are temporarily removing the requirement that programs be open and advertised to qualified health care professionals from multiple institutions.
We continue to be open to new requests for financial support. Please note our 60-day advanced application requirement. Therefore, the first eligible program date for product requests is expected to be November 30. Programs must be planned in accordance with CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines.
We ask for your patience regarding possible delays in the processing of new grant requests as we resume grant activity.

Starting July 1, 2020, the ÌÇÐÄÓ°ÊÓÊÓƵ Grants Committee will begin receiving new requests for financial support only. New requests for product support will not be considered at this time. Please note that the 60-day rule remains. Therefore, the first eligible program date would be August 30. Programs must be planned in accordance with CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines.
